Volunteer Opportunity: Habitat For Humanity
Want to help a family in need? Families could be left with no where to live when a disaster strikes. Why not give some of your time and help build a new house for someone or people who need a place to call home again? You will feel so great after making a difference and those in need will be forever thankful for your support. No experience necessary, wear closed-toe shoes. Safety tools and equipment provided. Food and transportation will be provided. Sign up in the Student Activities Center. This event is free and open to current PBSC students, faculty & staff.

Exploring College & Career Options Workshop [PBG]
These Workshops are designed for undecided prospective students and currently enrolled students, who are confused about what Palm Beach State College program, certificate or degree is best for them to pursue. Workshop activities are designed to help clarify career and education goals and provide continued exploration. Advanced registration is required, visit the website to register. Workshops are scheduled for the following dates: Jan. 10, 18, 25 & 30 | Feb. 15 & 21 | March 1, 21 & 29. Sponsored by the Career Center. This event is free and open to current PBSC students. Meet with FAU Admissions representatives to learn about university programs and admissions requirements for your major, deadlines, financial aid, scholarships and more. This free workshop is designed for students planning to complete their AA degree within the next three semesters. No registration required! FIU Transfer Seminar [LW]
Are you transferring to Florida International University (FIU), but are not sure what steps you should take to transfer? Join us to meet with an FIU Admissions Representative to learn about the transfer process including: how to apply to FIU, admissions requirements, deadlines, financial aid/scholarships, sending transcripts and housing options. There will be a presentation followed by a Q & A session. This free workshop is designed for students planning to transfer with their AA degree within the next three terms. Sponsored by the Academic Advising Transfer Initiative Program (TIP).

This free workshop focuses on how to highlight and arrange your accomplishments and achievements on paper. The workshop will also cover formatting options, content suggestions and tips for crafting a general resume and then tailoring it to specific job opportunities. This workshop will be offered on: January 25 and March 14 on the Boca Raton campus.  This free workshop is sponsored by the Career Center and is open to currently enrolled PBSC students and PBSC graduates. Revisited: Simon & Garfunkel Concert [LW]
Relive one of the largest and most memorable concerts in history Live in Central Park (Revisited): Simon and Garfunkel. Vocalist Lee Lessack and singer-songwriter Johnny Rodgers bring the classic set list to life, revisiting the biggest hits of the greatest folk rock duo of all time. From “Sound of Silence” to “Mrs. Robinson,” Live in Central Park (Revisited): Simon and Garfunkel showcases two international vocal talents as they recreate the legendary, original 1981 reunion concert that reunited Simon and Garfunkel. In September of 1981, after over ten years of separation, Simon and Garfunkel came together for an unforgettable reunion concert in Central Park. The concert was expected to draw around 300,000 people, but surpassed all expectations, attracting over 500,000! Tickets: $29.
