Come learn about the Link to FAU program! This is a great opportunity for students to receive enriched academic advising with comprehensive educational planning from both FAU and PBSC advisors. Link to FAU students benefit from guaranteed entrance to FAU, access to FAU advisors, scholarships, priority admissions to FAU and class registration. This event is free and open to current PBSC students. No appointment needed! Workshops are scheduled for the following dates: Jan. 26, Feb. 16, March 16 & April 6.

UCF Transfer Seminar [LW]
Are you transferring to the University of Central Florida (UCF), but are not sure what steps you should take to transfer? Join us to meet with a UCF Admissions Representative to learn about the transfer process including: how to apply to UCF, admissions requirements, deadlines, financial aid/scholarships, sending transcripts and housing options. There will be a presentation followed by a Q & A session. This free workshop is designed for students planning to transfer with their AA degree within the next three terms. Sponsored by the Academic Advising Transfer Initiative Program (TIP).

Equity Pedagogy In The Classroom Workshop [BR]
Please join the Professional Teaching & Learning Center (PTLC) for our workshop "Equity Pedagogy In The College Classroom." Through a series of self-reflective activities, dialogue, and culturally responsive pedagogical practices, this workshop is aimed at providing a safe space for the college community to discuss how millennium students can be meaningfully engaged in the classroom, especially those from traditionally marginalized populations. This is a free PTLC sponsored event for current PBSC students, faculty &  staff. Food will be served!

Join us for the the Professional Teaching & Learning Center's (PTLC) "Got Papers: There is an I in Team" presented by Professor Hector Hernandez. Great teams take time to ask what if, why and why not to exercise intuition, imagination and ingenuity which are all critical to high performance teamwork. This session explores activating teamwork through integrity, involvement and influence. This event is free and open to the public.

Transfer 202 Workshop [LW]
Are you prepared to transfer? Let the Transfer Initiative Program [TIP] advisors help you figure out your next steps. The Office of Academic Advising Transfer Initiative Program [TIP] is proud to announce our Spring Transfer Tuesdays workshop series. These workshops are designed to assist and provide students with more in-depth information about transferring out of PBSC after earning their AA or AS degrees. Transfer 202 is designed for students with less than 2 semesters left to graduate. Are you graduating next semester? Then this workshop is for you! It is a more in-depth workshop detailing how to apply and complete your transfer admission application, tips to help you write your personal statement and a final review of your transfer checklist. To pre-register, call 561-868-3602 and leave your name, student ID and phone number. Workshops are scheduled for the following dates: Jan. 26, Feb. 21, March 21 & April 18.

Are you undecided about your college major or career goal? Then attend one of our free workshops designed for prospective students and currently enrolled students, who are confused about what Palm Beach State College program, certificate or degree is best for them to pursue. Workshop activities are designed to help clarify career and education goals and provide continued exploration. You will learn how to identify your interests, research careers and relate your ideas to college programs. Advanced registration is required and you must have a Student ID to register.  Visit the website to register. Enjoy an outdoor movie going experience on the lawn in front of the amphitheater, complete with free popcorn.
