Walk A Mile In Her Shoes [LW]

There is an old saying: "You can't really understand another person's experience until you've walked in their shoes.” Walk in Her Shoes asks men to literally walk in women's high-heeled shoes. It's not easy walking in these shoes, but it's fun and it gets the community to talk about something that's really difficult to talk about: gender relations and men's sexualized violence against women. On Tuesday October 16th from 12pm- 1pm male students and staff will be walking in red high heels shoes from the MLK plaza to the gym. This event is designed to raise awareness for domestic violence awareness month. Female students and staff encouraged to participate as well by cheering and supporting. Food and t-shirts will be provided. Check out the Video for this event
