Adam Ellick Guest Speaker: The Millions of Malalas [LW]
Join us as New York Times correspondent and documentary filmmaker, Adam Ellick, speaks on "The Millions of Malalas." Mr. Ellick was the first journalist to report on an unknown schoolgirl named Malala Yousafzai, and he brought her story to the world in a 2009 film, "Malala's Story." This event supports this year's Common Reader, "I Am Malala." This event is free and open to current PBSC students, faculty & staff. Sponsored by the Common Reader Committee.

Students and members of the community will be able to meet with private and public sector employers who are hiring for full-time, part-time, internship and seasonal job opportunities. There will also be representatives from Florida colleges and universities in attendance to answer questions about transferring and continuing your education. Movies of the Mind Screening: Contratiempo [PBG]
Join the Professional Teaching & Learning Center (PTLC) and the Spanish Club for Movies of the Mind. We will be screening "Contratiempo" (later released as "The Invisible Guest"), an award-winning Spanish thriller about a successful businessman who wakes up next to his dead girlfriend. Secrets about the past are exposed as he works with his lawyer to find the evidence to clear his name before it’s too late. Professor Alvarado and the Spanish Club will facilitate a discussion following the conclusion of the film. Refreshments will be provided. This event is free and open to the public.

Join us for Pink Panther Night! The women's PBSC Panthers Volleyball team will face Broward State College. There will be free admission, food and giveaways. Wear pink to support breast cancer awareness. This event is free and open to the public.

Are you prepared to transfer? Let the Transfer Initiative Program [TIP] advisors help you figure out your next steps. The Transfer 202 workshop is designed for students with less than 2 semesters left to graduate. Are you graduating next semester? Then this workshop is for you! At this in-depth workshop you will review your transfer checklist and get tips to help you with applying and completing your transfer application, researching and applying to transfer scholarships, adjusting to your new school and how to avoid transfer burn out. Sponsored by the Academic Advising Department. This event is free and open to the current PBSC students. Email to pre-register.
