Approximately 22 million people need some form of addiction treatment, and demand for trained professionals is growing. In Palm Beach County alone, there are hundreds of opportunities in this billion dollar industry. Come learn about Palm Beach State College's Addiction Studies program. Flexible schedules for working professionals and small class sizes make this the ideal place to advance your career. PBSC's program satisfies all of the educational training hours for the Certified Addiction Counselor credential. This event is free and open to the public. Tuesday Nite Big Band & Jazz Combos [PBG]
Join us for an evening with our various instrumental jazz ensembles as they perform selections from the 1940s to the present. The Tuesday Nite Big Band, 19 members in all, will pay homage to jazz legends such as Miles Davis, Wayne Shorter and Patrick Williams as well as presenting the songs "Back Home Again in Indian”, “Time Check” and “Vortex." The jazz combos will perform a variety of music chosen from jazz classics such as "I Thought About You", "Billie’s Bounce", “In a Mellow Tone” and "Falling in Love with Love" through selections by Wayne Shorter, Joe Henderson, Stevie Wonder and Antonio Carlos Jobim. Whether it is the big band sound of the Tuesday Nite Jazz Band or the mellow sound of one of our jazz combos, this is sure to be a swingin’ evening that you will enjoy!
