7:00 AM - 11:00 AM | Mental Health Awareness 5k Walk Would you like to help raise awareness for mental health? Join NAMI and the Student Activities Department and walk together to raise awareness of mental illness and raise funds for local, regional and state NAMI organizations. Each NAMI Walks event brings together people of all ages and fitness levels for a fun 5K walk event. Those who are unable to walk with us are welcome to register and participate as a volunteer or “virtual walker.” The walk will be held at John Prince Park located at 2700 6th Ave. S. in Lake Worth. NAMIWalks brings together individuals, families and businesses to help raise funds, fight stigma and promote awareness that recovery is possible. 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM | Musical: NUGGET & FANG [LW] ArtsPower’s under-the-sea musical tells the story of Nugget, a minnow, and Fang, a shark, who get along swimmingly — until Nugget’s first day of minnow school. There, Nugget learns that minnows are supposed to be afraid of sharks! To regain Nugget’s trust, Fang takes desperate and hilarious measures. Nothing goes as planned. Fang is moping in deep waters when he notices that Nugget and his minnow schoolmates are caught up in some big trouble (and one very big net). Holy mackerel!
