Multicultural Festival [PBG]
Please join the Palm Beach Gardens campus Student Activities Department as we celebrate Diversity Awareness Month. We will be celebrating the cultural diversity of our students with music, food, art exhibits and games. This event is free and open to the public. There will be free food and PBSC giveaways available. Don't miss the fun!

Boho Beautiful Charity Yoga Tour [LW]
Boho Beautiful Charity Tour will be making a stop at PBSC! There will be a yoga class from 11:30am to 12:30pm at the Student Commons Area. Bring your own mat or towel, as there will be a limited number of mats available. The class is free, but donations are being accepted to support McCarthy's Wildlife Sanctuary. This event is sponsored by the PBSC Wellness Committee and the Wellness Center and is open to the public.

Paint Your Paws Off: Canvas Painting [LW]
Picasso? Da Vinci? Crayola? Come join us for our "Paint Your Paws Off" canvas painting party hosted by Uptown Art here at PBSC! Let your imagination run wild as you use a variety of colors to paint your masterpiece! All supplies are included and any level of experience is welcome to participate. Sign up in the Student Activities Center (BK 107). Space is limited and refreshments will be served. This event is free and open to current PBSC students, faculty & staff.

Registered Nurse Information Session [LW]
The nursing program at Palm Beach State College focuses on nursing as a caring and humanistic discipline. Nursing encompasses evidenced based practice, the use of critical thinking and commitment to life-long learning. The goals are to improve the overall health and wellness, to enhance the quality of life and to meet the needs of our diverse community. Core values of the art and science of nursing encompass caring, compassion, diversity, ethics, excellence, holism, integrity, and patient-centeredness. The nursing faculty at PBSC believe in a culture of excellence that provides individualized, safe care for patients, families and communities. The instructional process is designed to guide the student to achieve mastery of the course learning outcomes through active engagement utilizing a variety of methods. The program time is divided among learning activities that include clinical, didactic, skills and simulation. Upon graduation, the student is awarded an associate in science degree (A.S.) and is eligible to take the National Council Licensing Exam (NCLEX) to become a registered nurse (RN). Sessions are scheduled for the following dates: Sept. 6 & 27, Oct. 11 and Nov. 1. This event is free and open to the public. For program information, visit www.palmbeachstate.edu/programs/Nursing.

Health Information Professions Career Day [LG]
F.I.R.E. Day (Find, Inspire, Recruit and Education) is designed for the Health Information professions and is open to anyone interested in Health Information careers and hot topics. The Health Information programs at PBSC will hold a panel discussion and town hall meeting focused on career pathways, future opportunities and professional credentials. Local employers and the local association chapter, Suncoast Health Information Management Association, will join us for our interactive presentation. This event is free and open to the public.

Attend this info session to hear about career opportunities in the automotive and diesel industries and how Palm Beach State College can prepare you for entry into these exciting fields. You'll be given a presentation about our programs and will have the opportunity to take a tour of our facilities and meet the student advisors and instructors.
