Diabetes Screening [BR]
Over 30 million people in the U.S. have been diagnosed with diabetes and another 84 million are considered pre-diabetic. To help combat this serious health issue, the Student Activities Department has partnered with the Diabetes Coalition of Palm Beach County who will be on campus to provide the following for free:
- brochures and information
- diabetes risk assessments
- A1c tests

The Massage Therapy program at PBSC's Boca Raton campus is taking appointments for our massage clinic. Massage appointments are open to the public and range from $13-$27.

Services include:
• One-Hour Full Body Swedish: $18*
• 30-Minute Chair $13
• One-Hour Hot Stone $27*
• One-Hour Reflexology $18
• One-Hour Vichy Wet Treatment $25*

*Bathing suit required.

Economic Development of the Glades Area Forum [BG]

Join us for a discussion on the economic growths coming to the Glades area, including Belle Glade, Pahokee, and South Bay. This event is free and open to the public. Sponsored by Palm Beach State College Community Relations and the Belle Glade Campus.

• Closed projects this fiscal year alone represent companies making a capital investment of $25M, utilizing over a half million square feet of space, and all while creating close to 350 new jobs.

• The region is home to educational partnerships dedicated to providing the skilled workforce needed for companies considering the region. The Glades is home to our County’s only Kindergarten through 12th grade International Baccalaureate Program, a hybrid model for technical training located at the West Technical Education Center, and employer ready programs offered from Palm Beach State College’s Belle Glade Campus.

• All three cities in the Glades fall within the State of Florida’s South Central Rural Area of Economic Opportunity (RAO). Provisions for projects considering the region include waivers for wage requirements as well as additional bonus amounts for participation in certain State incentive programs

PBSC Student Jazz Combos [LW]
Cool down with some hot Jazz from two swinging groups as they perform selections from the 1940s to the present. The student jazz combos, led by Neil Bacher and David Gibble, will perform a variety of music ranging from standards such as "Bye Bye Blackbird" and "Blue Skies" through selections by Rodgers & Hart, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Horace Silver, and many more. From standards of the Swing Era to more contemporary jazz, this is sure to be a cool evening of jazz that you will enjoy!
