Health Week: Great American Smoke-Out [BR]
The Great American Smokeout is an annual intervention event on the third Thursday of November by the American Cancer Society. Tobacco use remains the single largest preventable cause of disease and premature death in the country. The event challenges people to quit on that day, or use the day to make a plan to quit. Join Student Activities for info tables, refreshments and games. It's a great day to quit! This event is free and open to PBSC students, faculty, and staff.

Great American Smokeout [LW]
The Great American Smokeout is a nationwide event to encourage smokers to quit for one day. That day is Thursday, November 15. Join us from 11am to 1pm and obtain information on the hazards of smoking, find out some astounding statistics, participate in some fun activities, and even try your hand at the 1-minute speech contest! This event is free and open to all PBSC students, faculty and staff. Sponsored by The Wellness Center and the Wellness Committee.

USPS First Responder Stamp Dedication [LW]
The USPS recently introduced the new Forever First Responder Stamp. The stamp depicts First Responders - a Firefighter, EMS Person and Police Officer. Attend a short dedication ceremony in which the Post Master and Chief Postal Inspector of Palm Beach County will present and dedicate this stamp to the Public Safety Institute of Palm Beach State College. This event is free and open to the public. Sponsored by the Criminal Justice Institute.

Join us for an evening combining guitars and jazz with the 3:30 Jazz Quintet and the Jazz Guitar Ensemble. The Jazz Guitar Ensemble will entertain you with music ranging from 16th century Renaissance dances to jazz standards such as “I’m Old Fashioned” by Jerome Kern and music Horace Silver and Pete Hankinson.
