Celebrate the anniversary of the birth of Charles Darwin at Darwin Day on the Boca Raton campus! Be challenged by PBSC professors speaking on a range of topics, including "Darwin and Literature," "Evolutionary Biology," "Redefining Science," and "Evolutionary Psychology." A documentary caps the day and refreshments will be served. This event is free and open to the public.

Ed Planning Workshop: Education [LW]
Is it your first year in college? Are you an Education major? If so, please join us at this group advising session! You will learn about the required courses for an Education degree and a recommended sequence for taking those courses. By the end of the workshop you will be able to project your graduation date! Undecided Major Workshop [BR]
Are you undecided about your college major or career goal? Then attend one of our free workshops designed for prospective students and currently enrolled students, who are confused about what Palm Beach State College program, certificate or degree is best for them to pursue. Workshop activities are designed to help clarify career and education goals and provide continued exploration. You will learn how to identify your interests, research careers and relate your ideas to college programs. Advanced registration is required and you must have a Student ID to register.  Visit the website to register. Panther String Trio Concert [LW]
Featuring Misha Vitenson, violin, Michael Klotz, viola, and Jason Calloway, cello, the Panther String Trio is an ensemble made up of members of the Amernet String Quartet, Ensemble-in-Residence at FIU. They will present a program including major works of the repertoire for this rarely heard combination by Beethoven, Dohnany, and Gideon Klein, whose music for string trio was written while he was encamped in Terezin. Transition to Registered Nurse Info Session [LW]
The Nursing Transition program at Palm Beach State College is designed to recognize previous educational and work experiences for currently Florida licensed Practical Nurses and Paramedics. Upon successful completion of the course pre-requisite requirements and a challenge exam process, the transition student is admitted into the nursing program based on the "transition track" the student selects. Once admitted, the transition student is then incorporated into the generic nursing program and progresses in the same manner as all other RN students.
