Volunteer Opportunity: Humane Society
Do you have a love for animals? Join us at the Humane Society for the day to nurture and care for animals who are in need of your love. Not only will it benefit these animals, but it will make you feel good and provide a way for you to de-stress. Feed, walk, groom and clean local adoption animals. Food and transportation will be provided. Sign up in the Student Activities Center. This event is free and open to current PBSC students, faculty & staff. The Humane Society is located at 3100/3200 N. Military Trail in West Palm Beach.

The Student Activities department would like to invite you to kickoff the month of February with great music and even better barbecue. During the event, we will be providing fresh food and drinks. For your entertainment, we will have an assortment of blues and jazz classics playing in the background. This event is free and open to current PBSC students, faculty & staff.

Panera Bread is looking for smiling faces for multiple locations in South Florida. We are looking for delivery drivers. We offer competitive pay, plus tips and mileage. Please stop by our table to fill out an application and speak to the hiring manager. Recruitment sessions are schedule for Feb. 1, 2 & 6. This event is free and open to current PBSC students.

Ed Planning Workshop: Nursing [LW]
Is it your first year in college? Are you a Nursing major? If so, please join us at this group advising session! You will learn about the required courses for a Nursing degree and a recommended sequence for taking those courses. By the end of the workshop you will be able to project your graduation date! This program is “hands on” and participants will enter their degree plans into PantherWeb. Reservations preferred, but not required. Please call 561-868-3602 to make a reservation. Sessions will be held on the following dates: Feb. 2, 8, 13, 21, 24 & 28 | March 16, 22 & 27 | April 4. Sponsored by Academic Advising and the Career Center. Please join us in the Lake Worth campus Counseling Center for free coffee, snacks and conversation! This free informal weekly gathering is open to students who are in recovery as well as those who support it. Coffee Hour is held twice a week: Wednesdays from 2-3pm and Thursdays from 5-6pm. Sponsored by the Students 4 Recovery club.

PBSC Music Faculty Jazztet [LW]
Join us as we turn Stage West into an intimate jazz club. Our PBSC jazz faculty cannot only teach, they can play! Join David Gibble (trumpet, cornet, flugelhorn), Neil Bacher (guitar), David Tomasello (bass), Brad Keller (piano), and Frank Derrick (drums) as they add their unique twist to familiar tunes. Whether it’s a swing version of an old standard, a smooth ballad featuring one of our soloists, or a contemporary salsa selection, our faculty will enchant you with their interpretations of jazz both old and new. Sponsored by the PBSC Music department. Admission: $10 for the public | Free to PBSC students, faculty & staff and K-12 students.
