Is it your first year in college? Are you a Business and Industry major? If so, please join us at this group advising session! You will learn about the required courses for a business and industry degree and a recommended sequence for taking those courses. By the end of the workshop you will be able to project your graduation date! This program is “hands on” and participants will enter their degree plans into PantherWeb. Reservations preferred, but not required. Please call 561-868-3602 to make a reservation. Sessions will be held on the following dates: Jan. 31 | Feb. 6, 16, 22 & 28 | March 3, 16, 21 & 29 | April 7. The Panther Fit Fest will focus on mindfulness this year. Some of the events to be featured are yoga, walking meditation at the Student Commons labyrinth and tai-chi/qigong. Info tables will be available on health-related subjects as well as food tasting. Join us and learn about how you can improve your health, mind and body. Sponsored by The Wellness Committee. Job Hunting? Attend this one-hour workshop to help you get prepared to present the best you! You will practice the interviewing process and develop skills that make you stand out from the rest. Workshops will be held on February 22 and March 30. This free workshop is sponsored by the Career Center and is open to currently enrolled PBSC students and PBSC graduates. PTLC Pedagogy Pearls: 20 Minute Presentations [Lw]
Please join the Professional Training & Learning Center (PTLC) for two 20-minute back-to-back presentations. "Avoiding Plagiarism in Documented Research Papers - A Creative Approach" will be presented by Sandy Didner from 2:00-2:20pm. In this presentation, we will discuss assigning documented research topics that are highly individualistic, educational and pertinent to each student’s major or ethnic background, yet essays require original inquiry and extensive research of many types of media. "Increasing Student Motivation - Compelling Whys" will be presented by Dr. Matt Klauza from 2:30-2:50pm. It is difficult to help students understand why course information is important to them. This session addresses the five reasons why students are motivated to learn, and what we can do in the classroom to increase interest and motivation. These presentations are free and open to the public.

Stayin Alive: One Night of the Bee Gees Concert [LW]
Stayin' Alive offers to their audiences the songs and sights of a full Bee Gees play list, singing blockbusters such as "Night Fever," "Jive Talkin," "How Deep Is Your Love," "You Should Be Dancing," "Nights on Broadway," and "Stayin' Alive". In addition, they perform softer poetic ballads such as "I Started a Joke," "Massachusetts," "Fanny Be Tender," "Words," and "To Love Somebody" among other great hits. Tickets: $29.
