Make a Wish Foundation
Join Palm Beach State as we team up with Make A Wish Foundation to help grant wishes to children with life threatening illnesses. You’ll also be able to learn more about the planning aspect of granting the wishes. This will take place at 4491 South State Road 7, Suite 201 Fort Lauderdale, FL 33314. Transfer 101 & 102 Workshop Series [LW]
Are you prepared to transfer? Let the Transfer Initiative Program (TIP) advisors help you figure out your next steps. The Office of Academic Advising TIP is proud to announce our Spring Transfer workshop series. These workshops are designed to assist and provide students with more in-depth information about transferring out of PBSC after earning their AA or AS degrees. This combo workshop is designed for students who have completed at least 20 credits and those who have only 2 semesters left to graduate. Attend this workshop and learn the do's and don’t for making a seamless transition to the university of your choice. Workshop covers how to research the right university for you, how to apply and complete your transfer admission application, tips to help you write your personal statement and a final review of your transfer checklist. Registration is required as space is limited. To register, call 561-868-3602 or email CentralAATransfers@palmbeachstate.edu. Please leave your name, which workshop you will attend, student ID and phone number. Workshops are scheduled for the following dates: Jan. 31, Feb. 27, March 28 and April 27. Transition Info Session for Licensed PN's & Paramedics [LW]
The Nursing Transition program at Palm Beach State College is designed to recognize previous educational and work experiences for currently Florida licensed Practical Nurses and Paramedics. Upon successful completion of the course pre-requisite requirements and a challenging exam process, the transition student is admitted into the nursing program based on the "transition track" the student selects. Once admitted, the transition student is then incorporated into the generic nursing program and progresses in the same manner as all other RN students. Sessions will be held on Jan. 4, Feb. 27, Mar. 14, Apr. 11 at 4 PM in AH 101. This event if free and open to the public. Sponsored by the Nursing Program. Visit the website for more information.

"Pioneers of Jazz" Tuesday Nite Big Band [PBG]
Enjoy the music of jazz greats with the 18-piece Tuesday Nite Big Band as it explores the music of the “Pioneers of Jazz”. Under the direction of David Gibble, the Tuesday Nite Big Band will take you on a tour of jazz in the 20th century, featuring music by jazz pianists and composers Jelly Roll Morton, Mary Lou Williams, Thelonius Monk, and Dave Brubeck.
