Ed Planning Workshop: Education [LW]
Is it your first year in college? Are you an Education major? If so, please join us at this group advising session! You will learn about the required courses for an Education degree and a recommended sequence for taking those courses. By the end of the workshop you will be able to project your graduation date! This program is “hands on” and participants will enter their degree plans into PantherWeb. Reservations preferred, but not required. Please call 561-868-3602 to make a reservation. Sessions will be held on the following dates: Feb. 3, 9, 15, 21 & 27 | March 15, 21 & 30 | April 5. Sponsored by Academic Advising and the Career Center. Undecided Majors Workshop [LW]
Are you undecided about your college major or career goal? Then attend one of our free workshops designed for prospective students and currently enrolled students, who are confused about what Palm Beach State College program, certificate or degree is best for them to pursue. Workshop activities are designed to help clarify career and education goals and provide continued exploration. You will learn how to identify your interests, research careers and relate your ideas to college programs. Advanced registration is required and you must have a Student ID to register.  Visit the website to register. "Blunt Talk" Respecting Diversity Discussion [PBG]
Join the Professional Teaching & Learning Center (PTLC) for the presentation "Blunt Talk - Respecting Diversity and Controlling Class Discussion." Teaching Strategies Series Associate Professor of English Zachary Stewart will offer tips and strategies for conducting classroom discussion that respects religious, ethnic, political and gender diversity while still covering essential topics with critical thought. This discussion is a PTLC “Teaching Strategies” session that qualifies as professional development for faculty’s annual performance appraisal. Please register on the PantherWeb HR Professional Development website. The session is part lecture, part interactive, part Q&A and lasts 30-60 minutes. This session is free and open to current PBSC faculty.

Mathematics Of Productivity Workshop [LW]
Join the Professional Teaching & Learning Center (PTLC) for "Got Papers: The Mathematics of Productivity and Utility" presented by Yoshua Carhuamaca. The participants will explore Pareto’s Law, often referred to as the “80-20 rule.” The presenter will help participants realize that most results (“outputs”) come from a few key decisions or actions (“inputs”). See how to use mathematics to minimize the time needed to complete a given task. This event is free and open to the public.

Please join us in the Lake Worth campus Counseling Center for free coffee, snacks and conversation! This free informal weekly gathering is open to students who are in recovery as well as those who support it. Coffee Hour is held twice a week: Wednesdays from 2-3pm and Thursdays from 5-6pm. Sponsored by the Students 4 Recovery club.

Enjoy a fun and romantic evening at Kiskeya Club's Valentines Ball. Free music, refreshments and a selfie booth will be provided. Tickets are free and can be picked up at the Lake Worth campus Cashier's Office with a valid PantherCard. There is a limit of two tickets per person. Formal wear is requested.
