Exploring College and Career Options [PBG]
Are you undecided about your college major or career goal? Attend this free workshop for new and prospective students! In this workshop you will identify your interests, learn how to research careers and how to relate your interests and career ideas to college programs. Note: This workshop will not end with an Educational Plan. Advance registration required! After registering for a workshop, you MUST complete SIGI Assessment before attending the workshop. You must have a Student ID to register. Register online now! Workshops are scheduled for the following dates: January 8, 25 & 29 | Feb. 7, 15, 20 & 23 | March 12, 15, 21 & 23 | April 2, 4, 12, 16, 26 & 30. These events are free and open to PBSC students. Hear about exciting career opportunities in the cosmetology, facial or nail industries and how Palm Beach State College can prepare you for entry into these fields. Attend one of these free sessions and you'll be given a program presentation, meet the instructors and take a tour of our facilities. We will be able to answer all of the questions you'll need to know to make an informed decision.

Scheduled sessions will be held on January 8, February 12, March 12, April 9, May 14, June 12, July 10, and August 14.

In this installment of our Spring Workshop Series, we tackle the ever important issue of paying for college. From dispelling some of the myths in the community, we will also be providing some helpful information on where to search for additional funding.

US Army Field Band Jazz Ambassadors [BG]
The Jazz Ambassadors are the United States Army’s premier big band. This 19-member ensemble, formed in 1969, has received great acclaim both at home and abroad performing America’s original art form, jazz. Their diverse repertoire includes big band swing, bebop, Latin, contemporary jazz, standards, popular tunes, Dixieland, vocals, and patriotic selections. The band has appeared in all fifty states, Canada, Mexico, Japan, India, and throughout Europe. Notable performances include concerts at international jazz festivals in Montreux, Switzerland; Newport, Rhode Island; Toronto, Canada; Brussels, Belgium; and the North Sea Jazz Festival in the Netherlands. In 1995, the Jazz Ambassadors performed in England, Wales, Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Czech Republic in commemoration of the fiftieth anniversary of the end of World War II. The band has also been featured in unique joint concerts with major orchestras, including the Detroit and Baltimore symphonies. “What a great band!
