Link to FAU Advising Workshop [PBG]
Come learn about the Link to FAU program! This is a great opportunity for students to receive enriched academic advising with comprehensive educational planning from both FAU and PBSC advisors. Link to FAU students benefit from guaranteed entrance to FAU, access to FAU advisors, scholarships, priority admissions to FAU and class registration. This event is free and open to current PBSC students. No appointment needed! Workshops are scheduled for the following dates: Jan. 26, Feb. 16, March 16 & April 6.

Ed Planning: Business & Industry [LW]
Is it your first year in college? Are you a Business and Industry major? If so, please join us at this group advising session! You will learn about the required courses for a business and industry degree and a recommended sequence for taking those courses. By the end of the workshop you will be able to project your graduation date! This program is “hands on” and participants will enter their degree plans into PantherWeb. Reservations preferred, but not required. Please call 561-868-3602 to make a reservation. Sessions will be held on the following dates: Jan. 31 | Feb. 6, 16, 22 & 28 | March 3, 16, 21 & 29 | April 7. Sponsored by Academic Advising and the Career Center. This event is free and open to current PBSC students.

Sonography Program Open House [PBG]
Meet faculty and learn about Sonography and the application process. Program is  limited to those with an Allied Health background. The free open house sessions will be held on the following dates in 2016: Sept. 22, Oct. 20 and Nov. 17 and in 2017 on: Jan. 19, Feb. 16, March 16, April 20, May 18 and June 15.  All open house sessions start promptly at 1:00pm. Science Movie Night [PBG]
Attend this free screening of "The Race for the Double Helix." The film conveys the loneliness and competitiveness of scientific research and educates the viewer on how the structure of DNA was discovered. The movie explores the tension between the dedicated labwork of scientist Rosalind Franklin and the sometimes uninformed intuitive leaps of Watson and Crick, all played against a background of institutional turf wars, personality conflicts and sexism. Sponsored by the Biotechnology Student Association. This event is free and open to current PBSC students, faculty & staff.
