Spanish Language Celebration [PBG]
This event seeks to benefit our students and local community by widening and promoting intercultural understanding. In particular, our event serves as an opportunity for our students to broaden their cultural horizons and to be exposed to different aspects of the Latin American and Spanish cultures. This event is free and open to the public.

The schedule of events is:

  • 9:45 - 10:45 a.m. - Political Crisis in Venezuela: Is a Regime Change Possible? 
  • 11 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. - The Negotiation of the American Dream in Contemporary Latina Narratives
  • 12:30 - 1:45 p.m. - The Wall, Immigration, and the American Dream: An Ongoing National Debate
  • 2 – 3:45 p.m. - One Foot in and One Foot out: Assimilation and the Performance of Hybrid Identity in Contemporary America

Get up and get ready for this year's Health and Wellness Fair! Get active with your colleagues and dance to the music with the free Zumba class that's included! The Fair will take place from Noon-3 p.m. The Zumba class will take place from Noon-1 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. We'll have clubs, vendors, music, games, and a BBQ!

Meet with FAU Admissions representatives, faculty and advisors to learn about university programs and admissions requirements for your major, deadlines, financial aid, scholarships and more. This free workshop is designed for students planning to complete their AA degree within the next three semesters. Advising begins at 1:15 p.m. No registration required. Natalie Clein, Cello [LW]
Appointed as the first Distinguished Artist-in-Residence at Oxford University in 1,000 years, British cellist Natalie Clein has built a distinguished career, regularly performing at major venues and with orchestras worldwide such as the Philharmonia, the Royal Philharmonic, the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, the Orchestre National de Lyon, and both the Vienna Chamber and English Chamber Orchestras. PBSC Student Jazz Combos [PBG]
Join us as we turn the Eissey Campus Theatre into an intimate jazz club as our various student jazz combos giving their unique twist to familiar tunes. The New Standards Jazz Sextet, under the direction of Neil Bacher, will perform well-known classics such as “All the Things You Are”, “Wave”, and “On Green Dolphin Street”. Directed by Stephen Scott, the Progressive Jazz Quintet will play exciting version of music by Charlie Parker, Winton Marsalis, and Ornette Coleman. Our newest group, the C’est Bone Jazz Ensemble led by Mike Egan, will feature arrangements of “Autumn Leaves” and “Canteloupe Island” originally written for the Washington D.C. based Capital Bones. From Swing to Latin to Bebop, there is something for every jazz lover in this program. $10 Students (k-12 and PBSC students). PBSC faculty and staff are free. This event is open to the public.
