Undecided Major Workshop [LW]
Are you undecided about your college major or career goal? Then attend one of our free workshops designed for new and prospective students students, who are confused about what Palm Beach State College program, certificate or degree is best for them to pursue. Workshop activities are designed to help clarify career and education goals and provide continued exploration. You will learn how to identify your interests, research careers and relate your ideas to college programs. Advanced registration is required and you must have a Student ID to register.  Visit the website to register. Workshops are scheduled for the following dates: March 1, 15, 17, 21, 24, 27 & 31.  Sponsored by the Career Center. This event is free and open to current PBSC students. Spanish Language Celebration [PBG]
This event seeks to benefit our students and local community by widening and promoting intercultural understanding. In particular, our event serves as an opportunity for our students to broaden their cultural horizons and to be exposed to different aspects of the Latin American and Spanish cultures. The Eighth Annual Spanish Language Celebration is about engagement, exchange and understanding. Visit the website for more information. This event is free and open to the public.

Ed Planning Workshop: Education [LW]
Is it your first year in college? Are you an Education major? If so, please join us at this group advising session! You will learn about the required courses for an Education degree and a recommended sequence for taking those courses. By the end of the workshop you will be able to project your graduation date! This program is “hands on” and participants will enter their degree plans into PantherWeb. Reservations preferred, but not required. Please call 561-868-3602 to make a reservation. Transfer 202 Workshop [LW]
Are you prepared to transfer? Let the Transfer Initiative Program [TIP] advisors help you figure out your next steps. The Office of Academic Advising Transfer Initiative Program [TIP] is proud to announce our Spring Transfer Tuesdays workshop series. These workshops are designed to assist and provide students with more in-depth information about transferring out of PBSC after earning their AA or AS degrees. Transfer 202 is designed for students with less than 2 semesters left to graduate. Are you graduating next semester? Then this workshop is for you! It is a more in-depth workshop detailing how to apply and complete your transfer admission application, tips to help you write your personal statement and a final review of your transfer checklist. To pre-register, call 561-868-3602 and leave your name, student ID and phone number. Workshops are scheduled for the following dates: Jan. 26, Feb. 21, March 21 & April 18.

This event will help inspire you to get motivated to reach your dreams. There will be three different parts to this event. We will start with a networking brunch where students can interact with professionals. After that, we will have a keynote speaker, Lakeisha Hamilton, author of “Breakthrough: Light In a Dark Place.” She will speak about how to overcome your past (free books will be given out to the first 25 participants). The event will end with a marketplace for students to gain information about the different services businesses have to offer. Sponsored by the Student Activities Center. Employers spend an average of 10 seconds reviewing a resume. Learn to develop an effective resume that shows you have the knowledge and skills that employers are seeking. Find out what to include, how to format your resume and improve your chance of getting an interview. These free 90-minute workshops will be held on March 20, 21 & 22.  This freed event is open to current PBSC students and sponsored by the Career Center.

Universal Design Presentation [LW]
Join the Professional Training & Learning Center (PTLC) for the Got Papers series presentation "What is Universal Design?" being presented by Jelecia Kirk and Shannon Smigo. Universal design is a different way of looking at the world around us, from buildings and sidewalks to teaching and learning. Explore how it can support students with disabilities as well as our general population of students in their pursuit of academic success. This event is free and open to the public.
