PTLC Pedagogy Pearls: 20 Minute Presentations [Lw]
Please join the Professional Training & Learning Center (PTLC) for two 20-minute back-to-back presentations. "Post-It-Notes: A Simple Platform for Engagement" will be presented by Faye Pelosi from 3:30-3:50pm. Students often shy away from collaboration and direct engagement since these tasks require confidence in their ideas and what they have to offer. Probing with Post-It-Notes engages critical thinking while allowing students freedom of response. "Leveraging Your Career Experience in the Classroom" will be presented by Jodi Weiss from 4:00-4:20pm. Incorporating your professional experience and relevant skill-based knowledge in a course is a great way to enhance the student experience, and to help students prepare for their lives beyond the classroom. These presentations are free and open to the public.
