"Small Changes, Big Results: Giving Them a Say" Presented by Dr. Matt Klauza. Research shows that the more students develop ownership in the classroom, the more engaged—and successful—they are. Come explore some easy ways to do this and to share your approaches with the group. 2-2:25 p.m. 

"Small Changes, Big Results: Spacing It Out" Presented by Dr. George Stoupas. This audience-participation-based workshop addresses how we might space out information in our classes so that our students can come into contact with it more often—thus increasing student retention. The Community Impact Partner Summit consists of invited guests from the Trade and Industry Business Partnership Councils as well as invited guests from local municipalities, Chambers, and organizations throughout Palm Beach County. Its purpose is to continue the dialogue in an effort to adequately prepare our students for workforce readiness in addition to skills and certifications acquired through PBSC in an effort to narrow the increasing employment gap among companies surrounding PBSC. Transfer 101 & 102 Workshop Series [LW]
Are you prepared to transfer? Let the Transfer Initiative Program (TIP) advisors help you figure out your next steps. The Office of Academic Advising TIP is proud to announce our Spring Transfer workshop series. These workshops are designed to assist and provide students with more in-depth information about transferring out of PBSC after earning their AA or AS degrees. This combo workshop is designed for students who have completed at least 20 credits and those who have only 2 semesters left to graduate. Attend this workshop and learn the do's and don’t for making a seamless transition to the university of your choice. Workshop covers how to research the right university for you, how to apply and complete your transfer admission application, tips to help you write your personal statement and a final review of your transfer checklist. "On the Town in the Palm Beaches - The Glades." About the Host, TV Show & Event: Film and television personality Frank Licari goes "On the Town in The Palm Beaches" with high-spirited and entertaining journeys that provide a unique view of South Florida living. Encounter the people and places that create each community's vibrant, diverse culture. Come join us for a special screening of "On the Town in the Palm Beaches – THE GLADES." The event begins with a one-hour reception for guests and then continues with the 30 min screening of the episode. The event will conclude with a Q&A with producers of the program and host Frank Licari. Don’t miss this special presentation featuring Belle Glade. PBSC Jazz Combos concert [PBG]
Join us as we turn the Eissey Campus Theatre into an intimate jazz club. The evening will feature our various student jazz combos giving their unique twist to familiar tunes. Under the direction of Neil Bacher, David Gibble, and jazz pianist Stephen Scott, these combos will perform jazz standards in new and exciting ways. Listen to favorites like “All Blues”, “Mean to Me”, “A Sleeping Bee” and “My Romance”. Hear music by great jazz composers such as Miles Davis, Wayne Shorter, and Horace Silver as well as popular songs by Antonio Carlos Jobim and Rodgers & Hart. From traditional to contemporary jazz, from swing to ballads to Latin, this will be a fun evening for all. This event is free for PBSC students, faculty, staff and K-12 students; $10 to the public. Having reunited following their induction into the Long Island Music Hall of Fame in 2014 as the “Lords” (a moniker coined by late producer Phil Ramone), the Duncan Theatre will be alive with the sounds of Long Island’s best musicians, whom Billy Joel hand selected to help create his classic hits and unforgettable tours, who will reunite on stage once again as The Lords of 52nd Street!
