Is it your first year in college? Are you a Behavioral and Social Sciences, Human Services or Social Work major? If so, please join us at this group advising session! You will learn about the required courses for a Behavioral and Social Sciences, Human Services and Social Work degree and a recommended sequence for taking those courses. By the end of the workshop you will be able to project your graduation date! This program is “hands on” and participants will enter their degree plans into PantherWeb. Reservations preferred, but not required. Please call 561-868-3602 to make a reservation. Sessions will be held on the following dates: Feb. 1, 10, 14 & 20 | March 2, 14, 20 & 29 | April 6. Health Information Professionals Week [LW]
In honor of Health Information Professionals Week March 26th - April 2nd, the Health Information program students will hold our annual event on March 29th. This year's theme is Coding Olympics! We will have an anatomy speed event, billing relay, external cause event, and injury code archery. This event is for anyone interested in the Health Information programs, so even if you have never coded you can still participate on a team. Award winning British cellist Jacob Shaw has given acclaimed concerts across Europe, USA and Asia, establishing himself as one of the most prominent young soloists based in Scandinavia. “Music Ambassador” for Dulwich College International and highly dedicated to helping and promoting young talents in his own field, Jacob also supports the next generation of musicians. PBSC Jazz Combos [PBG]
Join the PBSC Music department as we turn the Eissey Campus Theatre into an intimate jazz club. The evening will feature our various student jazz combos giving their unique twist to familiar tunes. Under the direction of Neil Bacher, David Gibble, and new faculty member Stephen Scott, these combos will perform jazz standards in new and exciting ways. Listen to favorites like “Fly Me to the Moon,” “On Green Dolphin Street” and “Killer Joe”. Hear music by great jazz composers such as Wayne Shorter, Thelonius Monk and Bill Evans. From traditional to contemporary jazz, this will be a fun evening for all. Tickets: $10 for the public | Free to current PBSC students, faculty & staff and K-12 students.
