Volunteer Opportunity: Robotics Expo
Do you like science or engineering? Then this volunteering experience is for you! You will be assisting local robotics with their setup, doing robot inspections and cleanup. What a fun and great learning experience this will be. Join in the excitement of helping, while discovering the science of robotics! Sign up in the Student Activities Center. Expo will be held on March 3 & 4 at the Palm Beach County Convention Center in West Palm Beach. This event is free and open to current PBSC students, faculty & staff.

Spanish Language & Culture Course [PBG]
Join Maria Garcia-Landry’s free Spanish course offered to faculty and staff that will focus on vocabulary for specific situations, such as ordering at a restaurant, taking public transportation, handling problems at the airport, sharing a meal with friends and family and more. Grammar will be taught in context, and the lessons will be conversational. The class is informal and participants will be required to speak and learn the Spanish language. Cultural aspects, such as singing, dancing and food, will be introduced. Spanish food served. Classes are scheduled for the following dates: Feb. 24, March 3, March 24, April 21 and April 28. Sponsored by the Palm Beach Gardens campus Professional Teaching & Learning Center (PTLC). Classes are free and open to current PBSC faculty & staff.

Ed Planning: Business & Industry [LW]
Is it your first year in college? Are you a Business and Industry major? If so, please join us at this group advising session! You will learn about the required courses for a business and industry degree and a recommended sequence for taking those courses. By the end of the workshop you will be able to project your graduation date! This program is “hands on” and participants will enter their degree plans into PantherWeb. Reservations preferred, but not required. Please call 561-868-3602 to make a reservation. Sessions will be held on the following dates: Jan. 31 | Feb. 6, 16, 22 & 28 | March 3, 16, 21 & 29 | April 7. Rhythm of the Dance Performance [BG]
Rhythm of the Dance will take you on an epic journey through the ages, from ancient mythology to the travels of the Irish emigrants, from the rolling hills and stonewalls of Connemara all the way to the modern skyscrapers of New York, with some surprises along the way. The show is an inspiring epic, recounting the journey of the Irish Celts throughout history. Using modern art forms of dance and music, this richly costumed show marries the contemporary and the ancient. Combining traditional dance and music with the most up-to-date stage technology, the show is a thousand-year-old story executed with all the advantages of a modern day stage show. Arts In The Gardens: Peking Acrobats Performance [PBG]
The Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center presents Eissey Campus Theatre 2017 Arts in the Gardens - Peking Acrobats. For the last 30 years, The Peking Acrobats have redefined audience perceptions of Chinese acrobatics. Often accompanied by live musicians skillfully playing traditional Chinese instruments and high-tech special effects that coalesce with the music and awe-inspiring feats, they create an exuberant entertainment event featuring all the excitement and festive pageantry of a Chinese Carnival.
