Workshop: Google for School [BG]
Google is more than just a search engine! It can also be used for a number of tools including a calculator and converter, and it can also search books, news and scholarly articles. In this workshop, provided by the Belle Glade campus library, students will learn advanced search tips and how to link Google search results to the library’s resources. Come learn how to best use Google in your schoolwork! This event is free and open to current PBSC students.

Is it your first year in college? Are you a Biology, Natural Science and Pre-Health Professions major? If so, please join us at this group advising session! You will learn about the required courses for a Biology, Natural Science and Pre-Health Professions degree and a recommended sequence for taking those courses. By the end of the workshop you will be able to project your graduation date! This program is “hands on” and participants will enter their degree plans into PantherWeb. Job Hunting? Attend this one-hour workshop to help you get prepared to present the best you! You will practice the interviewing process and develop skills that make you stand out from the rest. Workshops will be held on February 22 and March 30. This free workshop is sponsored by the Career Center and is open to currently enrolled PBSC students and PBSC graduates. Join us for an engaging forum discussion with national renowned attorneys. The EQUAL (Every Quality Unites All Lives) Club and the Dr. Kathryn W. Davis Global Education Center at Palm Beach State College in collaboration with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), and the Palm Beach County Coalition for Immigrant Rights (PBCCIR) present an informational panel with Nancy Abudu, Director of legal operations at the Florida ACLU, John De Leon, attorney and past president of Miami-Dade ACLU, and Wilfredo Ruiz, Communications Director of CAIR Florida.
