Escape! Room Event [PBG]
On a dare, you and a group of friends sneak into the old abandoned Gotham Academy, unaware that various villains are using it as a hideout. One of you accidentally triggers a trap set by the Riddler, alerting the villains that you are there. A timer starts indicating that you have one hour to get out of the room before the villains decide to end the game. This event is free and open to PBSC students, faculty and staff. Sponsored by The Entertainment Club.

Times for the event are:
  • 11 a.m. - Noon
  • 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
  • 2 p.m. - 3 p.m.

Earth Day Art Competition [LOX]
All participants must create an art piece constructed completely of recycled material. All art pieces will be displayed and judged throughout the day. The winner of the competition will receive a $100 gift card. This event is free and open to all PBSC students. Sponsored by Student Activities.

Thai Chi on the Lawn [BG]
Come participate in a relaxing session of Tai-Chi. Learn some poses and moves to help relax muscles and reduce stress. Tai Chi involves a series of movements performed in a slow, focused manner and accompanied by deep breathing. This event is free and open to all current PBSC students, faculty and staff. Sponsored by the Belle Glade campus Student Activities Department.

World Autism Awareness Day [LW]
We are excited to be able to offer another Autism Lunch and Learn this year, during Autism Awareness Month. Dr. Hosenberg, Research Manager for the Els for Autism Foundation(TM) will be speaking. Dr. Hosenberg is overseeing some exciting new research initiatives at The Center and is looking forward to sharing them with the audience during the overview of autism spectrum disorder. 

At this event you will learn the signs of Autism Spectrum Disorder, know where to go to get screened and find out how to access services. This event is free and a light lunch will be provided. Open to all PBSC students, faculty and staff.

Third Thirsty Thursday is back for Spring! While having fun in the sun, come join student activities for Campus "Happy Hour" every 3rd Thursday until April and enjoy a free mock-tail or two. This is a free event open to PBSC students, faculty and staff.

This session explores the use of multiple forms of feedback from students throughout the semester. Participants will leave with several strategies for immediate use that will improve and customize their teaching to students’ needs. Addiction Recovery Peer Support Meeting [LW]
Come join Students 4 Recovery for a weekly peer support meeting. This is open to PBSC students in recovery from substance addiction and those who are struggling. We welcome all pathways to recovery. Free coffee and snacks provided. Sponsored by the Counseling Center.

Undecided Majors Workshops [BR]
Are you undecided about your college major or career goal? At the workshop, you will identify your interests, how to research careers and relate your interests to majors and degrees offered at the college. * * * Advanced registration is preferred. REGISTER NOW! * * *

Please follow the steps for registration: 
1. To attend a workshop RSVP on Handshake the Career Center's portal by going to
www.palmbeachstate.edu/career/
2. Click on the Handshake logo and login using your PBSC email username and password.
3. Go the events tab and search the "Boca Raton Campus"
4. Select "view" on the day you would like to attend, and on the right-hand side of the event click "RSVP for event" to RSVP. Space is limited!

Venezuela: Issues and Developments [BG]
Please plan to attend and participate in a discussion on the current events in Venezuela and its impact on the region. Our featured speaker is Dr. Luis Fleishman.

Dr. Luis Fleishman, is author of the book, “Latin America in the Post Chavez Era” and a Professor of Sociology at Palm Beach State College. He is an expert on the politics of the region and has been featured on several news broadcasts to include CNN.

This event is free and open to all PBSC students, faculty and staff. Sponsored by the Library and Sociology Department.
