9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Math Awareness Week Events [All Campuses]
Math Awareness Week is a campus-wide event during the first week of April. Every campus will host several presentations, games, and movies. Each campus has its own schedule of events and festivities. All students are encouraged to attend and some instructors offer extra credit for participating. Sponsored by the Math Department.

10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Find a Major [LOX]
Are you undecided about your college major or career goal? At the workshop, you will identify your interests, how to research careers and relate your interests to majors and degrees offered at the college. This event is free and open to all PBSC students, faculty and staff. Sponsored by the Career Center.

11:00 AM - 12:30 PM Exploring Careers Panel [BR]
Learn what skills and experience employers look for as panelists discuss industry trends and career paths. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions and network with employers at the event! A buffet luncheon provided by Student Activities will be served. This event is free and open to PBSC students. Sponsored by the Career Center.

Students should RSVP on Handshake the Career Center's portal by going to:
1. Click on the Handshake logo and login using your PBSC email username and password.
2. Go the events tab and search the "Boca Raton Campus"
3. Select "view" on the day you would like to attend, and on the right-hand side of the event click "RSVP for event" to RSVP. Space is limited!

12:00 PM - 3:00 PM Battle of The Brains Trivia [PBG]
Student Activities is holding their first ever Trivia event in the student lounge. Winner will receive a prize! Come by and see if your brain can hang! This event is free and open to PBSC students. Sponosored by Student Activities.

1:30 PM - 3:00 PM Paint Chip Poetry
Come and celebrate National Poetry Month by creating your own poetry. The library is hosting Paint Chip Poetry as an opportunity for you show off your creative skills. Choose a paint chip and write a poem with the name of each color. It can be free verse, haiku, anything! Supplies are provided and submitted poems will be displayed in the LLRC Gallery. You can stop by any time during event hours. We’re free and open to all students, faculty, and staff. Refreshments will also be provided. If you have any questions, email:

3:00 PM - 4:00 PM Addiction Recovery Peer Support Meeting [LW]
Come join Students 4 Recovery for a weekly peer support meeting. This is open to PBSC students in recovery from substance addiction and those who are struggling. We welcome all pathways to recovery. Free coffee and snacks provided. Sponsored by the Counseling Center.

These workshops are designed for new and prospective students who are uncertain about their major or program of study.

• Learn about resources to research occupations
• Identify your interests

Prospective applicants usually have lots of questions regarding acceptance into a new program. This is your opportunity to meet fellow students, faculty and staff, and view the facility. This event is free and open to the public.

5:30 PM - 6:30 PM Prepare a Dynamic Resume Workshop [PBG]
Designed for students unsure of where to begin in writing a resume. We'll discuss the purpose of a resume, the various sections within a resume, different resume styles, and strategies for formatting. We can also include information about writing cover letters! 7:30 PM - 9:15 PM An Evening of Cool Jazz - PBSC Student Jazz Combos [LW]
Join us as we turn Humanities 114 into an intimate jazz club. The evening will feature two of our student jazz combos, under the direction of Stephen Scott and Mike Egan, giving their unique twist to familiar tunes. The Progressive Jazz Quintet will play exciting version of music by Charlie Parker, Winton Marsalis, Kenny Dorham, and Ornette Coleman. Our newest group, the C’est Bone Jazz Ensemble led by Mike Egan, will feature versions of “Autumn Leaves” and “Canteloupe Island” originally written for the Capital Bones along with an arrangement of Oliver Nelson's famous "Stolen Moments" by local trombonist and educator, Drew Gardner. From traditional to contemporary jazz, from swing to ballads to Latin, this will be a fun evening for all.
