Open Lab Group Advising Workshop [LW]
Is it your first year in college? Do you need to know the courses to take to complete your degree? If so, please join us at this group advising session! All majors are welcome. You will learn about the required courses needed and a recommended sequence for taking those courses. By the end of the workshop you will be able to project your graduation date! This program is “hands on” and participants will enter their degree plans into PantherWeb. Reservations preferred, but not required. Please call 561-868-3602 to make a reservation. Sessions will be held on the following dates in June: 1, 5, 6, 7, 8, 12, 13, 15, 19, 20, 21, 27 & 28 and in July on: 10, 11, 13, 18, 19 & 20. Sponsored by Academic Advising and the Career Center. This event is free and open to current PBSC students.

Registered Nurse Information Session [LW]
The nursing program at Palm Beach State College focuses on nursing as a caring and humanistic discipline. Nursing encompasses evidenced based practice, the use of critical thinking and commitment to life-long learning. The goals are to improve the overall health and wellness, to enhance the quality of life and to meet the needs of our diverse community. Core values of the art and science of nursing encompass caring, compassion, diversity, ethics, excellence, holism, integrity, and patient-centeredness. The nursing faculty at PBSC believe in a culture of excellence that provides individualized, safe care for patients, families and communities. The instructional process is designed to guide the student to achieve mastery of the course learning outcomes through active engagement utilizing a variety of methods. The program time is divided among learning activities that include clinical, didactic, skills and simulation. Upon graduation, the student is awarded an associate in science degree (A.S.) and is eligible to take the National Council Licensing Exam (NCLEX) to become a registered nurse (RN). Would you like to take the Florida Child Care Professional Credential (FCCPC) program online at Palm Beach State College?
