Event Description
Award winning author, professor, and film maker M.K. Asante gives a lecture about breaking stereotypes.  His book, "It's Bigger Than Hip Hop", was named a top book of the year by the Kansas City Star.  It uses hip hop as a springboard to discuss the urgent social and  political issues affecting the hip-hop and post hip-hop generations.   This free event is sponsored  by Student Activities and PTLC - Dr. Roxanna Anderson.
